Alex’s Top Picks

Best of the Past Week: Invincible #63 – There were several high quality comics last week, but #63 was easily one of the greatest Invincible issues of all time. A real jaw-dropper and continuing to mark a monumental shift in the series’ tone, this was the most hard-hitting moment in Invincible since Omni-Man’s big reveal. Thinking back to it, I still can’t believe what happened.
Most Anticipated for this Week: Detective Comics #854 – Having never really followed Detective Comics, this is a bit of a weird pick for me. That said, I’m a huge Greg Rucka fan so I know what he can do with a noir-ish comic. The key attraction for me here though is the indescribably awesome artwork by JH Williams. One look at his work here, and you’ll immediately know why you have to own this entire run.
DS’s Top Picks
